The Royal Brewers Guild - General information

The Royal Brewers Guild, or [Booze] by our tag, was officially created at 15 march 2009. We are a guild dedicated to Mortal Online only, therefore our lore and organization is designed to fit Mortal Online.

Our goal was to create a guild that is fun for the casual player to be a part of as well for the hardcore gamer or hardcore role-player. Since all the founders had different interests we were able through various discussions to come up with a guild design that we believe does the trick.

Another important aspect we agreed on was to have a guild that had a minimum set of rules, just enough to keep things fun to participate (and most of them are quite obvious).

We have a Codex of Law with a more extensive set of rules, but these are for role-playing purposes within the guild.

In short, we want to provide a fun community where we don’t force members into doing things. Freedom of choice is important for enjoying a MMO.

Oh yes, and lets not forget our members like a good drink! Hence our name.

What do we offer?

Four internal groups you can choose to join

We have four groups or divisions within our guild. The forum is designed to manage those groups and the various ranks, we will also have a separate webpage for displaying them. If possible we will also make them in game.

When joining the guild you start out as a regular Royal Brewers member, after a little bit of exploring you can then join one or more of the four groups, depending on your skills and preferences of game play.

The four groups are:

  • The Spiritus Legion – The army of our guild
  • SpiritusNobiscum – The religious group
  • The Royal Brewing Corporation – The crafts and economics group
  • The Diplomatic Order – The group that handles guild diplomacy

Fun role-play.

We have a guild history for those interested in RP or semi-RP, also the way our guild is organized is a great basis for role-players (for example diplomacy or religion). If you are not into role-playing however, and prefer just PvP then you can join our Legion, no role-playing is required. The only thing we ask of the members that are not in to role-playing is to respect the role-playing of the members who do.

PvP, roman army style!

Our army called the Legion of Spiritus is setup as a roman army – mafia hybrid. We strife for a large organized military, so it will be fun to take part of epic battles and sieges. Our army is well organized and offers promotions for those who are devoted and skilled warriors. We also offer training for new recruits and have prepared various battle tactics. Of course the tactics have to be fine-tuned when the game releases.

A platform for the economic aspect of the game.

Economy is important for a guild. Money, buildings, armor and weaponry etc are always great to have developed internally. We do not ask for our crafters and merchants to work for the guild as slaves however. Instead we have a structure that resembles a company, only every employee of the company is a freelancer. We have a board and a chairman for the economic department of our guild. Internally people can help each other in various ways, make good trade deals etc. The guild also provides the crafters and merchants with a City and protection when needed. When the guild needs a favor from the crafters the guild leaders discuss this with the chairman and the board and they explore the possibilities within the economic department to get it done. Crafters and Merchants supporting the guild is on a free choice basis.

For more information about the four internal divisions and their structure please check their pages on this website.
